Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts

The Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts (AALAM) is a non-partisan, non-profit professional organization serving the legal community in Boston, MA and throughout New England. Since 1984, AALAM has built a robust network of over 380 lawyers, judges, law professors, and law students dedicated to advancing excellence in the legal profession while supporting Asian American attorneys across all practice sectors.

AALAM provides comprehensive professional development and networking opportunities through specialized committees tailored to different legal careers. The organization maintains four primary membership sub-groups focused on law firm practitioners, solo and small firm attorneys, in-house counsel, and government and public interest lawyers. This structured approach ensures members receive targeted resources and mentorship relevant to their specific practice areas and career stages.

As a Northeast Region affiliate of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA), AALAM connects members to a nationwide network representing over 50,000 Asian Pacific American attorneys. The organization also serves as an affinity bar partner of the Boston Bar Association, reinforcing its commitment to diversity and inclusion within Massachusetts' legal community. AALAM actively hosts monthly events, facilitates cross-cultural professional development, and maintains the prestigious AALAM-Dow Fund Scholarship program, which awards annual scholarships to accomplished law student members demonstrating leadership potential and commitment to the Asian American community.
