About BU Asian Dental Student Organization

The Asian Dental Student Organization (ADSO) is a dedicated student organization at Boston University's Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, serving the Boston, MA community through professional development and cultural advancement. ADSO establishes and promotes the educational, community, professional, and social aspirations of Asian dental students within the School of Dental Medicine's comprehensive DMD program.

As part of Boston University's renowned dental education institution, ADSO members benefit from state-of-the-art learning facilities including the Simulation Learning Center, hands-on clinical experiences beginning in the first year, and unique 10-week externship programs. The organization actively engages in the School's extensive community outreach initiatives, with students participating in more than 60 programs and 100 events annually throughout Boston and underserved communities.

ADSO seeks to define and promote the responsibilities, rights, and freedoms of its members as healthcare providers within the community while contributing to the professional and educational values the School offers. The organization uniquely expresses Asian cultural perspectives and values within dental medicine education. Through structured leadership, including officers dedicated to community outreach, social engagement, and professional development, ADSO fosters collaboration among Asian dental students at the Boston, MA campus.

Members gain access to faculty advisors, professional development resources, and connections to related organizations including the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) and Student National Dental Association (SNDA).
