Chinese American Association of North Hempstead

The Chinese American Association of North Hempstead serves the Manhasset, NY community through a comprehensive range of cultural, educational, and social programs designed to strengthen Chinese American families and promote intercultural understanding. Since its establishment in 1997, CAANH has grown to represent more than 200 families throughout the North Hempstead and Long Island area, offering diverse activities and initiatives that benefit both members and the broader community.

The organization specializes in cultural preservation and community engagement, organizing and sponsoring social, cultural, and educational events that celebrate Chinese heritage while fostering goodwill across all communities. CAANH is particularly committed to educational advancement, encouraging quality education and administering scholarship programs to support the next generation of students. The association maintains active involvement in local school districts, including Manhasset and Herricks, where it volunteers and supports school events throughout the year.

As a non-profit, non-sectarian organization, CAANH represents the interests and concerns of Chinese residents while actively promoting intercultural exchanges within the greater North Hempstead area. The organization secured state grant funding in 2004 to further its cultural promotion efforts, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable community impact.
