Organization of Chinese Americans Asian Pacific American Advocates San Mateo

The Organization of Chinese Americans (OCA) San Mateo Chapter is a dedicated civil rights advocacy and educational organization serving the San Mateo, California community and the broader Bay Area. Established in 1987, the San Mateo Chapter represents one of four active chapters in the Bay Area and one of seven chapters throughout California, connecting thousands of Asian Pacific Americans with resources and support.

OCA San Mateo provides comprehensive programming focused on advancing social, political, and economic opportunities for Chinese Americans and Asian Pacific Americans. The organization operates multiple youth development initiatives, including the Speak and Lead with Pride program, which empowers young members through leadership training and personal development. Additionally, OCA San Mateo administers an annual scholarship program designed to support educational advancement within the community.

As part of the national OCA network founded in 1973, the San Mateo Chapter leverages a 501(c)(3) non-partisan platform to promote active civic participation, secure equal rights and opportunities, and eliminate prejudices and stereotypes affecting Asian American communities. The organization provides education and training programs while fostering positive cultural appreciation and economic advancement.
